SYNOPSIS
A well progressive Non-Profit Organization located in Karachi is looking for the services from experienced candidates for the posts of Manager Fundraising & Business Development.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Develop and refine fundraising process, defining activities, responsibilities, and key milestones.
Work with program and project managers to brainstorm, discuss, develop, and summarize project ideas for funding and provide input into project outline documents.
Keep fund raising force continually updated with correspondence, notes from calls, contact information, links to proposals saved on Box, amounts requested, likelihood of acquisition, follow up dates and next steps.
Research fundraising opportunities (in the form of grants, loans, investments, or leads) Build relationships with major donors (online and offline), companies and institutions both local and foreign.
Promote individual campaigns using social media and find new avenues and ways to raise funds.
Develop marketing campaigns that support marketing targets of the organization, evaluate campaign effectiveness, and develop campaign presentations.
Write and create grant proposals to obtain funds from companies or institutes.
Network with potential funders through personal connections or introductions, seeking to learn more about the funder’s priorities, how proposals are reviewed, and decisions are made.
Continuously communicate with the public leveraging various sources: online, via the media, through direct mail etc.
Produce fundraising promotional material and guide graphics designers, cinematographers, Content writer teams for event and promotions peculiarities.
Join TV programs and media sessions for awareness and perceptional clearance and to generate funds.
REQUIREMENTS
Develop annual budget for fundraising activities.
Monitor expenditure and adhere to approved budget.
Monitor and track fundraising performance against annual KPIs.
Communicate Evidence Action’s values of evidence-based decision making, cost-effectiveness, and transparency to internal and external stakeholders.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master’s degree in Marketing, Branding, Business Administration, international relations, public health, or related field strongly preferred.
Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience in a fundraising role.
Proven experience in securing grants from bilateral and/or multi-lateral donors, corporates, foundations and/or major donors, through complex application processes, including log-frame design and development with detailed budgets.
Knowledge of donor trends, sustainable development goals, rules and regulations of major donors is mandatory.
Proven experience developing budgets and proposals, working with teams across different cultures and time zones.
Strong written and oral communication skills, with an excellent ability to conduct face-to-face meetings or ZOOM, Skype calls and present to large or small audiences.
Excellent networking skills, able to cultivate relationships at all levels of seniority.
Ability and willingness to travel overseas, and work evenings and weekends when required to meet application deadlines.
A sense of humor and satire is required to add flavor in conversation.
